AJS is a joint venture organisation, set up by AMEC Oil and Gas, Jacobs Engineering Netherlands BV and Stork Industry Services Netherlands BV to deliver integrated services to ONEgas (Shell Expro/NAM). AJS offers management, engineering, maintenance and operational support services for all the offshore production facilities of Shell Expro and NAM in the UK and the Dutch sector of the southern part of the North Sea, which includes 51 offshore assets and the gas plants in Den Helder and Bacton (UK).

Allseas Maritime Personnel (AMP) is actively involved in the recruitment of maritime personnel for vessels operating for the merchant navy and on supporting vessels for the oil and gas industry. The manning agency is located in the port of Den Helder. For a vast number of Dutch and foreign shipping companies AMP provides part or complete crew management. For shipping companies it means an enormous reduction in their daily operational crewing activities. In 2003 the company introduced a new Personnel Data System, specifically designed to recruit and administer seafarers, including wages administration, visa application, crew''s insurances and owner''s related employment specifications.

Den Helder-based Andritz BV is a subsidiary of Andritz AG, Graz, Austria. This company is a global leader in design and manufacture of decanter centrifuges for the treatment of drilling mud and oil-containing mud. Andritz BV provides maintenance and repair services for Bird, KHD and Guinard industrial centrifuges.

The Offshore Medical Centre at Den Helder Airport focuses on safety, health and welfare services in the medical field. The services include the compulsory medical examination for oil companies, offshore companies and shipping companies. Two doctors work at the centre who also focus on absenteeism guidance.

Accidental Spill Control Consultancy (ASCC) is an independent consultancy agency specialised in the field of oil and chemical spill response on inland waters, coastline and sea. Since 1989 ACSS has been working in the field of emergency management issues for the Netherlands Ministry of Transport and Public Works, the European Commission, and many other national and international organisations.

ASCC provides both research, development and consultancy in the field of modelling, training, impact assessment and spill response technologies. In this way, ASCC has contributed significantly to the knowledge and methodologies regarding the whole area of spill control at sea, coastline and inland waters. ASCC also focuses on training development. Oil spill response courses and chemical spill control courses on various levels are given by the agency.

Atlas Tristar, with offices in Den Helder and Hoofddorp, places temporary specialist personnel in the oil and gas industry for short, medium and long-term assignments everywhere in the world. The company is in the onshore and offshore oil and gas industry active in the field of production, maintenance, well services, drilling and engineering. In addition to recruitment and selection, Altas Tristar is also specialized in career planning, interim management and pay-rolling.

Atlas Tristar has a ''well service pool''. This is a group of over 30 technical specialists who can be deployed quickly and flexibly if an oil company or service company has a specific problem. ATO N-H works together with knowledge institutes, educational institutes and governmental organisations and initiates, simulates and coordinates broad, industrial innovations based on high-quality knowledge networks. The purpose is sustainable employment in the region. ATO N-H carries out the sustainable energy policy of the Province of North Holland. ATO N-H has for example worked on large and small-scale applications of wind energy, solar energy and biomass. Baker Atlas, a division of Baker Hughes, offers a complete range of downhole well logging services for every environment including advanced formation evaluation, production and reservoir engineering, petrophysical and geophysical data acquisition services. In addition, perforating and completion technologies, pipe recovery, and processing and analyses of open and cased hole data complete the service range.

Since 1972 Baker Atlas has been engaged in this work in the Netherlands. In Den Helder the company has an operations centre for serving the Dutch Continental Shelf.

Since 1970, Bemo Rail has been active on the market for the design, construction, marketing and trade of rail tracks, crane tracks, rail-based internal transport systems and shunting systems. These products are sold worldwide for use in a wide range of industrial applications. In the shipping sector, the products and systems from Bemo Rail are widely used on shipyards, container terminals and terminals for the transhipment of bulk products.
