G.S.G. Technical Advice & Service are specialists in providing technical consultancy services and mechanical engineering projects (for example for the shipping and oil and gas industry, both offshore and onshore). Other activities include the maintenance, inspection, repair, reconditioning and modification of machines, equipment and even complete production lines. The company also carries out assembly work. G.S.G. further provides reports on the technical projects undertaken and wherever necessary submits solutions for correcting technical problems. The commercial business Galjoen is an innovative company that is specialised in supplying industrial and promotional clothing and a wide range of safety equipment. The extensive range includes survival suits, overalls, diving suits, safety shoes and air-breathing equipment. A particularly interesting product in this range is the Galjoen fire resistant constant wear suit developed by its own staff. After years of research this is now certified as both a fire-fighting and immersion suit. This suit has been developed for fire brigade units transported by lifeboat to burning ships. The unit is also suitable for lifeboat crews, helicopter crews and workers on offshore installations. The Galjoen products are delivered to companies who are active in the offshore and shipping sectors, fire fighting and police corps, ambulance services and rescue brigades.

Headquartered in Zoetermeer, GDF Production Nederland has for more than forty years been engaged in the exploration, production and transportation of gas on the Dutch Continental Shelf. Its shore base in Den Helder includes modern office facilities, a yard, where the operational activities on the company''s North Sea production installations are co-ordinated. Gas is produced from about 30 production platforms and from several subsea completions. ederland is one of the most important gas producers. The company is a subsidiary of the Gaz de France Group which operates in more than thirty countries.

Straalbedrijf Gebroeders Sanders, set up in 1988, is specialised in spraying and painting components, materials and small and large steel structures. Especially for this the company has various halls, including the largest spraying hall in the ''Kop'' of North Holland. Here objects can be sprayed and painted with a maximum width of 12 metres and a length of over 20 metres. The spray halls are fully air-conditioned. The largest hall houses two modern spraying machines. These spray objects such as pipes, pipe constructions, bridges, platforms, stairs, landing stages and sluice gates. Customers include offshore companies, the Netherlands Royal Navy, harbour companies and governmental organisations. The company is ISO 9001:2000 certified and can be accessed well by road and water.

GKS International emerged from GKS Trading, brokers for construction work and machine finishing. The company acts as broker for Dutch businesses already active in the oil and gas industry, and wishing to spread their wings into the Middle East. The company has in fact opened a branch office in Qatar to facilitate this service provision. In Qatar, the company works closely together with a service company for the oil and gas sector. In the Netherlands, GKS International works closely with the steel construction firm Multimetaal based in Den Helder, for example for the construction of special frames for containers used in the offshore industry.

GP Groot inzameling bv/containerservice bv, with branches in Heiloo and Alkmaar, has been operating for more than 90 years in the northern and western Netherlands. The company’s primary activities include the container service, the collection and recycling of waste, contracting, fuel trading, consultancy and engineering. In part thanks to the provision of the container service, a rapid response can be provided for the collection and transport of waste flows. This includes waste flows from the shipping and offshore sector. GP Groot has qualified as official waste collector for the port of Den Helder. Waste is recycled at the company’s own premises at locations in Alkmaar, Halfweg, Middenmeer and Emmeloord.

Gulf Oil Nederland has a large share in the Dutch market for the supply of fuel and lubricants to the shipping and offshore industry. The planning and sales are organised from the office in Den Helder. The bunkering operations are provided 24 hours a day in all the Dutch ports.
