Imtech Utiliteit Noord-West is part of Imtech NV, based in Rotterdam. Imtech is a European technical service provider in the area of information and communication technology, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. What''s more, Imtech offers a wide mix of international ICT and technology activities, including high-quality information and communication technologies, telecom solutions, maritime technologies, onboard computerisation and advanced system technologies. In total Imtech offers work to 15,000 people and the annual turnover amounts to approximately 2.5 billion euros. The branch in Den Helder supplies explosion-proof components for electrical equipment and instrumentation systems and takes care of maintenance of this equipment installed on offshore platforms and plants.

Den Helder-based Intramar was founded on 1 November 1994 as an independent insurance broker. The majority of its clients portfolio consists of companies working in the so-called maritime clusters. Insurance cover from both the domestic and international insurance markets can be arranged for contractors and suppliers in the oil and gas industry, shipping companies, shipyards, yacht builders, dredging and subsea contractors, naval architects and many other branch related clients. With the support of the (international) insurance markets, Intramar is able to develop a range of insurance covers and services aimed at international businesses.
